2023 Digital Government Summit Planned for Oct. 17 in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Office of Technology welcomes public sector technology professionals and leading industry partners to the 2023 Digital Government Summi.

The Summit is planned for Tuesda​y, Oct. 17, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Charleston Convention Center.

This all-day event brings stakeholders together to connect on innovative approaches and new technologies.

Featured presenters for the event include keynote speaker Heather Younger, founder and CEO of Employee Fanatix, a leading employee engagement and consulting firm, and Jack Shaw, a global thought leader and emerging technology strategist with more than 30 years of experience.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet West Virginia’s newly appointed Chief Information Officer, Heather Abbott; network with IT professionals; and talk with event exhibitors. Participants can attend a number of informative sessions about emerging technologies, current trends, and strategies for overcoming today's IT challenges.  

“The state is continuing a push towards digital transformation to modernize and improve constituent services, while increasing efficiencies within government operations,” Abbott said. “This Summit provides an opportunity for West Virginia to demonstrate its commitment to progress and innovation while fostering connections with like-minded individuals and organizations. It's an opportunity to learn from others, share knowledge, and collectively work toward building a better future for the state and its constituents.”
