West Virginia Digital Government Summit Scheduled for Wednesday, May 6

 
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Gale Given encourages federal, state and local government employees to attend the West Virginia Digital Government Summit, hosted by the West Virginia Office of Technology, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, from 8:45 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Charleston, W.Va. This event is designed for government employees to showcase best practices and ignite innovation in the public sector.

The Summit is centered on fostering discussion and dialogue on the use of information technology as a strategic tool for government managers, executives and policy makers. The Summit’s advisory board, chaired by CTO Given, has brought together public- and private-sector leaders to create an agenda to highlight the state’s steady progress as well as make the use of technology in government relevant and actionable to state and local governments.

The event will feature inspirational keynotes, leadership discussions, topical breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. Some of the topics to be addressed include:
