CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Ethics Commission will
conduct a training on the Ethics Act and the Open Meetings Act on Wednesday,
July 10, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. in Summersville. The presentation will be held in
the Nicholas County Courthouse courtroom at 700 Main Street.
All county and city officials and employees in the
surrounding area, members of county and city boards and commissions, and the
public are invited to attend. The training will last approximately one hour and
fifteen minutes. Registration is not required.
The training is part of the Ethics Commission’s efforts to
educate governmental officials and employees statewide on the requirements of
the Ethics Act and the Open Meetings Act. Sessions have been held in
Parkersburg, Charles Town, Triadelphia, and Beckley, with one more scheduled in
Welch on July 25, 2019.
