WV Surplus Property Continues its Expanded Summer Hours on Select Date

5/29/2014

West Virginia State Agency for Surplus Property (WVSASP) officials remind all existing and potential customers that business hours will continue to be extended until 7 p.m. on the first Monday of each summer month through August. These longer operating hours give working West Virginians an opportunity to stop by after their work day is complete to check out the savings on a variety of surplus items.

“Because many of our customers work the same hours as we do, WVSASP wanted to give everyone the same opportunity to enjoy the bargains that can be realized through our state agency,” said WVSASP Manager Elizabeth Perdue. “Our offices will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on June 2, July 7 and August 4 for the convenience of our existing and new customers.” WVSASP is a state governmental unit under the West Virginia Purchasing Division.

Types of items often available include household items, office equipment and furniture, lawn maintenance equipment, tools, kitchen equipment and vehicles. The West Virginia State Agency for Surplus Property is located at 2700 Charles Avenue in Dunbar. WVSASP’s normal business hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays.

Payment methods accepted include certified check or money order, Discover, Visa, or MasterCard. All merchandise is sold in “as is, where is” condition.
