Fairmont native Bruce R. Martin, CIC, CRM, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Board of Risk and Insurance Management on November 26, 2013. Serving on the Board since 2001, Martin is a 1990 graduate of Fairmont State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He later became a Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Risk Manager.
Martin has served in various capacities for the West Virginia Mutual Insurance Company since its inception in 2004 and currently chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Underwriting Committee.
He is currently President of the Independent Insurance Agents of West Virginia and was a Board member of the Independent Insurance Brokers of America from 1998 – 2003.
Martin currently serves as the President and CEO of WesBanco Insurance Services Inc., with offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
