CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Personnel and WorkForce WV are joining together in sponsoring the annual State Government Career Fair on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the West Virginia Culture Center on the State Capitol campus from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event is open to the public.
The State Government Career Fair is aimed at providing job seekers with information on full-time state government employment opportunities and benefits. Participating state agency officials will be searching particularly for critical need positions, including but not limited to accountants, financial positions, health services, corrections/law enforcement, environmental services, customer service representatives, information technology, natural resources and secretarial/administrative assistant positions.
Approximately 15 state agencies, including the State Tax Department, Offices of the Insurance Commissioner, Department of Health and Human Resources (Bureau for Health and Health Facilities and the Bureau for Children and Families), Department of Commerce (Division of Natural Resources and WorkForce West Virginia), Department of Transportation (Division of Highways and Division of Motor Vehicles), Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety (Regional Jail Authority) and Department of Administration (Office of Technology, General Services Division and the Division of Personnel) will be represented to discuss employment opportunities.

Employment counselors will be available to answer questions pertaining to the state employment application process. Interested individuals are encouraged to bring their resume, proper identification and any other information they wish to share with potential agency employers.
