Charleston, W.Va. – The West Virginia State Agency for Surplus Property (WVSASP) is hosting a Customer Appreciation Day this Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. State employees and members of the public are invited to take advantage of special extended hours, light refreshments, and half-off sales throughout the day.
“This event is our way of showing appreciation to our loyal customers and inviting new shoppers to explore the unique inventory we have at the warehouse,” said Surplus Manager Jessica Burns-McDonnell. “We are excited to offer extended hours to provide more flexibility for state employees and the public to stop by and see the great bargains we have available.”
Special deals will be available on vehicles beginning at 9 a.m. The list of vehicles for sale can be seen on our Facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/WVSurplus. While vehicles are available for inspection before Wednesday, they will be for sale on a first-come, first-served basis on Wednesday morning.
In addition to vehicles, current inventory includes tires and engines, electronics, office furniture, and more. Other half-off sales will take place throughout the day, as seen below:
- All day: Electronics
- 9-10:30 a.m.: Side tables
- 10:30 a.m. to noon: Desks
- Noon-1:30 p.m.: File cabinets
- 1:30-3 p.m.: Bookcases
- 3-4:30 p.m.: Tables
WVSASP’s regular hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., which can make it difficult for state employees to shop. Burns-McDonnell said she hopes the extended hours will encourage individuals who may not normally be able to visit the warehouse to stop by.
