Giving Surplus Property a Second Life

Welcome to the West Virginia State Agency for Surplus Property — also known as WV Surplus! We help state agencies find new homes for items they no longer need, from office furniture to vehicles and much more. These items are available for purchase by the public, as well as eligible organizations like nonprofits, schools, local governments, and volunteer fire departments. WV Surplus also administers the Federal Surplus Property Program, which allows eligible organizations to acquire surplus items from the federal government — often at a fraction of the cost. By giving surplus property a second life, WV Surplus helps save money, reduce waste, and make valuable items available at affordable prices.
